- Can I Share Something With You About “So and So?”: Say, “No!” Otherwise, get ready for the gossip train to leave the station… Choo! Choo!
- I Don’t Want to Be Rude, But…: Chances are they will be rude.
- I Know This is None of My Business, But…: Chances are it is none of their business.
- Have You Heard What “So and So” Said About You?: Trust me, you don’t want to know!
- Everyone Has Been Saying…: In other words, you’re now going to hear just what their three friends think.
- Sorry, if This Comes Across the Wrong Way: They are neither sorry and it will come across exactly how they think it in their heart!
Remember, just as freely as people choose to engage you in conversations is as freely as you can choose to not engage. Sometimes the best thing to say is, “I’d rather talk about something else.”
