Born & Baptized in the Spirit, Parts 1 & 2

The Holy Spirit is the third person in the God nature (the Trinity), yet He is often misunderstood and neglected, Matthew 28:19 & 2 Corinthians 3:17-18. However, the Bible itself could not be written without the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Christ wouldn’t have raised from the dead, nor would any of the mighty miracles of the Bible ever have been done. Therefore, it is vastly important that today’s Christian understand the role of the Holy Spirit in their life.  First, He comes to give new birth to the sinner.  And second, He desires to baptize the saint with power from on high.

Born & Baptized

  1. John 3:3, born of the Spirit
  2. Matthew 3:11, baptized in the Spirit
  • One is for new life, the other for new power.
  • One is for the forgiveness of doing Satan’s work, the other for destroying Satan’s work.
  • One is for joining the Body of Christ, the other for building the Body of Christ.

Remember, “The same spirit that birthed you wants to baptize you!”
