Legacy

I’ve always been under the impression that the rapture is moments away, but what if, and I just mean “what if,” it is 200-300 years away?

The Methodist of the 1800’s and the Pentecostals of the 1900’s never imagined humanity continuing into the 21st century, yet here we are.

Just for example, “What if the Jewish calendar is right and it’s only been 5777 years since creation and Jesus will come back on the 7th day, starting in the 6,000’s?” In other words, consider what if everything you know now (medicine, technology, denominations, companies, governments, etc.) will totally need to be changed and impacted with new inventions, churches, organizations, and leaders to bring forth the greatest revival the world has ever known!

Think about the following:

1. If you knew you had to leave a legacy to last 200 years what would you do different?

2. If you knew your children and grandchildren had to be here for hundreds of more years, how would you raise them to be governmental leaders, missionaries, inventors, leaders, etc.?

Certainly, I believe like Paul, that the rapture can happen at any minute but I want to plan for a legacy to last hundreds of years should the Lord tarry.

Lamentations 5:19, “You, Lord, reign forever; your throne endures from generation to generation.
