Too Young to Think About God, But Old Enough to Go to Hell
Sadly, when I was preaching the gospel with Wright College For Jesus! this past Monday I meet a young man that said he was too young to think about whether there was a ‘god’ or not (he was probably 18-20yrs old).
What he didn’t know was that the greatest colleges in our country were started by Christians, not to mention Northwestern University. We used to send our youth to learn about the world from the Christian worldview and foundation. Now this generation has been taught that God doesn’t matter to their everyday life, however, without the knowledge of God nothing can make sense, including rationality; existence and certainly education.
Jesus said the person who lives their life without His Words was just building sand castles that would fall with a great crash. I wanted to share this thought before I forgot and ask you to pray for him, his name was Alexis.
Bottom Line: Know God, know purpose. No God, no purpose.
Matthew 7:24-27, “24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
