What Children Teach Us

In other words, the first things we desire are actually our highest calling. It was what we had in the Garden and what sin took away. Praise God for Jesus because all of it is restored in the end. Literally, heaven coming to earth is what most Disney movies are trying to convey… think about it:
  1. Union of a king with a bride (Christ and His Church)
  2. A magical city (New Jerusalem)
  3. Peace with all animals
  4. Evil is destroyed
  5. Joy in learning and working (i.e., “the curse of toilsome labor is broken).

Matthew 18:3, “And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.'”

Revelation 21:1-4, “1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Note: Our children’s desires also disprove evolution because in our most “primitive” stage of development we do things that are unrelated to survival and have no link to animal instinct.
